Revealed: Interpol arrest warrant for ADCB CEO
by ArabianBusiness.com on Thursday, 22 May 2008
This is the warrant which Interpol issued on Thursday for the chief executive officer of Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, the emirate's third biggest bank by market value.
The arrest warrant can be found on Interpol's website here.
However, ADCB said the arrest warrant issued for its chief executive was related to his divorce, not to the bank's activities.
It said in a statement that courts in the United Arab Emirates had ruled in favour of Eirvin Knox, a US national, and that it supported him, without offering further details.
According to Interpol, Eirvin Knox, 59, is wanted for "crimes against life and health," the warrant for the US citizen said. It was issued in the Philippines.
Knox did not immediately respond to calls seeking comment.

This is a personal crisis that is being turned into a public drama and quite why it warrants such coverage in the local media I don't understand. The papers, and yourselves, should stick to business and things that REALLY inform and educate, not tittilate.
