Recognizing that women in the region may find it difficult to have access to opportunities, Shamsa Ali Noor Rashid created the fund in the Spring of 2007 to give women a shove in the right direction. The purpose of the fund is to support women who want to start large-business enterprises, and find investors willing to support the plans. This is her way of giving back to her community.
