Position: Chairman, Global Investment House, Kuwait

Maha Al-Ghunaim is chairman and managing director of the company she started almost single-handedly back in 1998.

Today Global Investment House manages over 30 funds some of which have exceeded market indices and include several equity funds and real estate funds such as Global GCC Real Estate Fund, Global Asia Real Estate Fund, and Global US Real Estate Fund.

Throughout the past year the company has continued to harvest awards and recognitions. The firm was awarded 'Best Investment Bank in Kuwait for 2007' by Euromoney Magazine and 'The World Islamic Funds Excellence Award for 2007' from the World Islamic Funds & Capital Markets organisation, among others.

Al-Ghunaim was named number 72 in Forbes magazine's ‘100 Most Powerful Women in the World' list in 2007.
