GAC Group continued its 25th anniversary celebrations with a special ceremony in Singapore's National Museum, which was attended by a number of clients and industry professionals from the shipping sector.

"Singapore and its worldclass port facilities and efficiencies are second to none. Over the past 25 years of our operations in this country, GAC has seen the huge investments and massive strides taken by this nation to become a pivotal port and major hub for the world's shipping and trade services," said Björn Engblom, executive chairman, GAC Group.

"The prudent investment into transportation infrastructure to support global shipping and trade is clearly visible and GAC Singapore is mindful that its 25 years of successful operations is in some way linked to this," he added.

GAC Singapore started small in 1983 and today is manned by nearly 140 experienced staff. From just a shipping agency office, GAC Singapore has expanded to four locations with a city office; operations centres at Pulau Bukom; Singapore's worldclass Changi International Airport; and a central warehousing facility.
