Dubai-based distributor NMK Electronics celebrated a bumper month of sales in May, securing deals with various UAE-based clients for the supply of Shure, Midas and Klark Teknik technologies.

Entertainment Network purchased a number of microphones from the Shure KSM range for installation in its new radio broadcast studios - Hala and HiFM.

NMK business development manager, Chicco Hiranandani, said he was pleased to see the KSM microphones used for production, but also on-air applications.

NMK also sold its first batch of the Shure Microflex gooseneck microphones last month to newly established Abu Dhabi-based equipment rental firm, Echo Light and Sound.

"Echo is our first customer to purchase the new wireless gooseneck microphone systems and I expect to see a great interest in these microphones as they offer functionality, flexibility and legendary performance," Hiranandani said.

7Star Rentals also boosted NMK sales last month with the purchase of a number of graphic equalisers, compressors and gates.

7Star Rentals is a new rental firm that has invested more than AED1 million in acquiring a range of equipment, which includes the new Square One Graphic and Dynamic standard DN370 graphic equaliser.

NMK also sold a Midas Verona mixing console to well-known UAE-based company Almoe Rentals.

The Verona is an 8-bus console, designed by the same team responsible for the XL4 and the Heritage Series consoles, including the industry-standard Heritage 3000.

Verona uses a brand new premium performance mic amp design, with very high CMR performance providing simple, noise free interconnections.

High performance audio summing busses are used throughout and all main outputs are fully balanced with high current capability for noise free interconnections.
