Apple's Steve Wozniak addresses QSTP conference

Wozniak said that QSTP was a great move for Qatar

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has addressed an audience in Qatar on the benefits to R&D and technology development of industry-university partnerships.

Speaking at the ‘Partnership Strategies for Corporate R&D' conference, hosted by Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP) last week in Qatar, Wozniak said that QSTP was a great move for Qatar.

"QSTP is the ideal arrangement, bringing together the minds of leading universities together with industry organisations," he said.

Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP) is situated in the Qatar Foundation's Education City, and is intended to provide research facilities and partnerships for companies, and act as an incubator for technology startups.

Wozniak, the creator of the Apple I and Apple II computers in the 1970s, was joined at the event by Harvard Business School Associate Professor Alan MacCormick; QSTP Chairman Dr Tidu Maini and Dr. Khalid Qarage, Texas A&M Associate Professor.
