Water infrastructure and specialised engineering firm Septech has been named as MEP Service Provider of the Year at the inaugural facilities management Middle East Awards.

Septech won the award in recognition of its work to provide both fresh and salt water solutions to a number of high-profile developments in the region, including Atlantis, The Palm on Palm Jumeirah, the Els Golf Club at Victory Heights and Festival Marina in Dubai Festival City. The Dubai-based firm was presented the trophy at a gala dinner held in the Grosvenor House Hotel, Dubai on 9 June.

Septech group projects director Iwan Baxter Hughes accepted the trophy on behalf of the firm. On receiving the award, Hughes commented: "This is essentially a pat on the back from our peers in the industry...this really is the icing on the cake for this year end."
