Trump honoured with lifetime achievement award

Business tycoon Donald Trump has been presented with a special Lifetime Achievement Award at the inaugural Arabian Property Awards, held on Wednesday at the Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai.

Trump, one of 21 individuals and companies to scoop industry awards on the night, sent a ‘thank you’ to the audience of 300 via video from New York, telling them “you are going to be seeing a lot more of me there in the near future”.

The evening was a double celebration for Trump, who also won 'Best Hotel and Development' for the Palm International Hotel & Tower.

Other high-profile winners included  Hydra Properties' Sulaiman Al Fahim, who won 'Outstanding Achiever', Emaar Properties, which took 'Best International Achievement', and Nakheel for 'Best Developer'.

Masdar won 'Best Contribution to the Environment', while ACI Real Estate took 'Best Branded Development' for its Michael Schumacher Business Avenue.

The awards were organized by Arabian Property magazine, part of ITP Executive.
