The Summer in Abu Dhabi exhibition has got off to an impressive start.

The recently-opened Summer in Abu Dhabi exhibition has kicked off to an impressive start, with more than 30,000 people visiting the show during the first 10 days of its eight-week run.

The show, jointly organised by Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) and Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA), is being held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre in the UAE capital.

ADTA head of events section Faisal Al Sheikh said he was delighted by the numbers, but unsurprised by the exhibition's early success.

"From the very first day the feedback from visitors has been fantastic and many people have already returned two or three times," said Al Sheikh.

"We have worked very hard to create the Middle East's premier family summer festival and have been very careful to market the event to the right people. Word of mouth is now helping spread the message that [the exhibition] is a truly great day out for all the family," he added.

Summer in Abu Dhabi will run until August 18 and is open to the public from 12pm to 9pm daily, with tickets priced at AED 30 for adults and AED 20 for children.
