The new DG+ audio store is located in Dubai's Times Square Centre.

Consumer electronics retailer Sharaf DG is looking to corner the UAE's high-end market with the launch of luxury audio and video store DG+.

The DG+ showroom is located in the Times Square Centre in Dubai and, according to the company, caters to audio connoisseurs and refined lifestyle seekers with top of the range products.

Nilesh Khalkho, CEO at Sharaf DG, says that DG+ was created to specifically cater to the burgeoning segment of consumers who love to "live it up" and own the finest of what money can buy.

"Dubai has the largest growth in property developments in the world with a major chunk of customers indulging in opulent villas and free hold properties. But when it comes to their entertainment systems, they have to compromise because of the lack of choice," explained Khalkho.

He claims that DG+ fills this gap by offering a choice of the world's best and most expensive audio and video names including Burmeister, Mordaunt, Short and Athony Gallo. Sharaf claims that these names are not available in any of the UAE's "typical" retail outlets, although specialist audio retailers have been established in the region for a while. DG+ customers will also benefit from consultancy and customised installation services to be carried out by trained acoustic engineers.

The store is split into four zones and, beside a dedicated audio room, sports a concept room and a cinema room.
