Mohammed Amin, regional manager, EMC Middle East & North Africa, says the centre will enable MATCO to provide added value to customers in Saudi.

Systems integrator MATCO has announced the opening of the first EMC Velocity2 Signature Solution Center in Saudi Arabia.

The centre, which has been established as part of the EMC Velocity2 partner program, will act as a proof of concept and demonstration centre for EMC and MATCO solutions for the Microsoft Exchange email platform.

The Al-Khobar centre will enable MATCO to simulate customer environments, to demonstrate new solutions for customer briefings and plan data migration and new deployments for storage and backup using EMC solutions for Microsoft Exchange. The centre will also be used for training and to carry out benchmarking and testing of solutions.

Mohammed Amin, regional manager, EMC Middle East & North Africa, commented: "This Solution Centre provides MATCO with the necessary tools to deliver increased value to customers through their relationship with EMC. Supporting EMC Velocity2 Signature Solution Centres is one of the core tenants of our reseller enablement program, which helps drive more sales opportunities."

The Signature Solution Center Partner is the highest level of EMC partner, with partners investing in their own solution centres, with a focus on EMC solutions and interoperability with EMC's major technology vendor partners.

Mohammad Al-Ghamdi, CEO of MATCO commented: "Information, along with human resources, is the life blood of the modern company; MATCO and EMC are focused on information storage, protection and authorised use. EMC is the recognised global leader in information management and storage solutions and MATCO is proud to be the company's Signature Solution Centre Partner in Saudi Arabia.

"Our major investment in the EMC Solution Centre underlines our commitment and our determination to provide current and prospective customers with first class workshop facilities to observe and test proven EMC solutions," Ghamdi added.
