Samsung has launched three new digital camera series including the NV series, I series and L series - between them, representing the full range from multimedia to premium models.

"Samsung Camera's award-winning NV Digital Camera range has set the benchmark for quality and innovation," said Ashraf Sajid, general manager of the audio-visual division at Samsung Gulf Electronics.

The Samsung NV 24HD features a 10.2 mega pixel resolution, 24mm ultra-wide angle and 3.6x optical zoon lens. It also is equipped with Samsung's Dream Engine, a proprietary rapid image correction feature designed to produce high quality images. As well as a range of other features such as Digital Image Stabilisation and Auto Contrast Balance, the NV 24HD has an in-built Smile and Blink Detection.

The Samsung i8, meanwhile, is a multimedia camera that supports various functions including watching films through the portable media player, MP3 music playback, travel information and a text viewer. Available in four different colours, the I-series cameras range in resolution from 8.0 mega pixels to 10.2 mega pixels.

Finally, Samsung unveiled three dual image stabilisation-equipped cameras - the L210, L110 and the L100. All boast a 2.5-inch Intelligent TFT LCD with a resolution of 230,000 pixels and have a face detection and Function Description feature.

"The I series and L-series models minimise the effects of shaking hands despite being ultra-slim digital cameras. These products create optimal pictures." said Mr. Sajid. "With the release of the L-series models, Samsung is looking to enhance its place at the top of the domestic digital camera market." Sajid said.
