A Kuwaiti man forced a Qatar Airways flight to make an emergency landing in Mumbai on Saturday after he picked a fight with cabin crew.
The 40-year-old reportedly had to be restrained after hitting a female member of staff when she asked him to put his seatbelt on.
The man had his hands and feet tied together to bring him under control, before being offloaded at Mumbai airport, the daily Times of India reported on Sunday.
"He refused to sit on his seat, or even put the seat-belt on," an airport source told the newspaper.
"When the flight attendant insisted that he take his seat, he refused and hit her. His behaviour petrified the passengers who were sitting near him, and they too refused to bear with him.”
The incident happened on board Qatar Airways flight 612 to Bangkok.
