Drake & Scull International said on Monday it has won a $34 million order to install the full mechanical, electrical and plumbing works for the Yas Island Rotana Resort in Abu Dhabi.
Work on the two hotels, which are part of Aldar Properties $40 billion development project, is expected to be completed by June 2009.
“These projects are a great opportunity for us to strengthen our well-established presence in Abu Dhabi and to demonstrate our capabilities and experience in providing fast-tracked MEP solutions,” Khaldoun Tabari, CEO of Drake & Scull International, said in a statement.
Drake & Skulls plans to sell around 1.2 million shares to the public, representing about 55 percent of the company in an offer which closes on July 17.
