Abu Dhabi International Airport launched a biometric face scan system, the first of its kind in the world, on Monday to identify wanted people and suspects.
General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, inaugurated the scan system at the airport, UAE daily Gulf News reported on Tuesday.
The system helps to recognise wanted people or suspects who are accused of committing crimes in the country or abroad by identifying their facial features.
The scanner will start functioning at the Abu Dhabi airport before it is installed at all exit points in the country.

The face scan

When i came from Geneva and went through the immigration the guy was talking to me, and i noticed there is a Monitor behind him up high. I was looking at it and i see my self on it with a small Square thingie on my face moving with me and next to the monitor there is a cam, so i thought this is something new. After 3~5 days from arrival the news came, and i knew what it was. I think they are going in the right direction, some deported people come back with fake passport and the eye scan can't sometimes catch them for something they do
