MBC launched a Farsi-language channel dubbed MBC Persia last month. The launch is part of MBC Group’s efforts to tap into Persian audiences in both Iran and the Arab world.

“Targeting the Farsi-speaking community reflects our strategic policy to launch customized channels that cater for specific audience demographics, preferences and needs, with the objective to further improve viewers’ overall TV entertainment experience,” commented Mazen Hayek, MBC Group’s director of marketing, PR and commercial.

MBC Group has plans to launch more foreign-language services in the future.
