It is believed that police investigating the murder of Lebanese singer Suzan Tamim have arrested a man in connection with the case.
According to a source close to the investigation, a 23 year-old British man of Iraqi origin was arrested on July 31. While he has initially been detained for a period of one week, it is understood that this could be extended.
Police refused to comment on Monday, saying there were no updates available on the investigation.
Meanwhile, on Monday the singer's funeral took place in the central Beirut district of Aicha Bakkar, attended by friends and relatives including her father Abdul Sattar and brother Khalil.
The body was later interred in the city's largest Sunni cemetery.
