Egyptian Radio & Television Union (ERTU) has invested in five Synergy 2 Standard Definition (SD) switchers from Ross.
The Egyptian state broadcaster, which already owns four Synergy 3 SD and three Synergy 2 SD Production switchers, will install two of the new additions at its News edit suites while three will be deployed at its TV studios.
“Ross’ Synergy line has proven to be an affordable and reliable product,” commented ERTU’s chief director of studio projects. “The Synergy 2 meets all of our requirements and offers feature sets that give our viewers a positive experience.”
Speaking about the deal, Saeid Nejad, regional sales manager for Ross in the Middle East and North Africa added: “ERTU has already experienced what Synergy can offer them, and it helped with their decision to go with Ross once again.”
