Smugglers have been caught with a total 1.6kg of heroin at Dubai International Airport, the latest in a string of drug busts made by customs.

In two separate incidents a man from an unnamed African and another from an unnamed Asian country were stopped at the airport after customs officers became suspicious of their behaviour, UAE daily Gulf News reported on Sunday.

The first was found with 77 capsules contained 1.15kg of heroin, while the other was found with six capsules containing 463.6g of the drug.
