The number of UAE facilities accredited by the Joint Commission International has leapt to 15, as Abu Dhabi keeps pace with Dubai’s healthcare sector.

Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) is the sixth Abu Dhabi hospital to achieve JCI status - along with Al Corniche Hospital, Al Rahba Hospital, Oasis Hospital, Tawam Hospital and Al Noor Hospital.

Excluding Zulekha Hospital in Sharjah, the rest of the UAE's JCI accredited facilities are located in Dubai.
