A woman was arrested with more than 2kg of cocaine concealed in her stomach in the latest swoop by customs officers at Dubai International Airport.
The woman from an African country was subjected to a body scan after a woman inspector grew suspicious about her.
The scan and further investigation revealed the presence of 103 capsules of cocaine weighing 2.123kg in her stomach, reported news agency WAM.
In a similar incident, an Asian passenger with 36 capsules of heroin weighing 411 grams in his stomach was arrested at Terminal 2, just a day after Sharjah police said thay had busted a drug gang and seized heroin worth Dh40 million.
They are the latest of a series of high-profile drugs seizures at the airport recently.
Last week customs officials caught a man coming from an Asian country with 815.3 grammes of heroin in his stomach, and in July officials discovered 98 capsules containing 938 grams of heroin hidden in the stomach of another passenger coming from Asia.
