Jeddah Gate on schedule

Emaar Middle East (Emaar ME) has said that progress on infrastructure work on the company’s flagship US $1.6 billion Jeddah Gate project, is on schedule.
Contracts have been awarded to various Saudi Arabian companies for the construction of the project's infrastructure and various other components. Work on the project is progressing on schedule with the first components completed on time.
Emaar ME CEO Alaa Abdullah Saed said: "The company is committed to developing the project on time by adhering to international best practices and the highest quality standards. Work on the electricity infrastructure, sidewalks and walkways are progressing at an accelerated pace along with the laying out of the first community within Jeddah Gate."
The project is located in the centre of the city and once completed will occupy two sites including one that spans 413,000m2 along King Abdullah Road, and a second one that spans more than 140,000m2 along Abdullah Al Suleiman Street. The first one is currently under development.
