Emaar Properties on Monday unveiled a 12 billion-dirham ($3.27 billion) eco-friendly development to be built close to Mushrif Park in Dubai.
The company said sustainable development will be the ethos behind Mushrif Heights, which will be spread over 400 hectares and include villas, town homes and apartments, as well as parks, walkways, and landscaped gardens.
Emaar, which is building the tallest tower in the world, said the development will also feature amenities such as a school, a mosque, retail outlets and other leisure and recreational facilities.
Ahmad Al Matrooshi, managing director for Emaar in the UAE, said the company was "creating a new eco-friendly community where the focus is on integrating every day living with the natural environment".
Sale of the first phase of the project is scheduled for Aug. 23.
