King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia has sent condolences to King Juan Carlos of Spain following the country's air disaster that left more than 150 people dead.
“In my own name and on behalf of the people and government of Saudi Arabia, I offer deep condolences and sincere sympathy to you and the families of the victims wishing the injured a speedy recovery,” he said in his message.
Crown Prince Sultan also offered condolences to King Carlos on the tragic accident.
Emergency services said only 20 of the 173 passengers and crew on board the Spanair flight survived when it crashed after swerving off the runway at Madrid Airport.
