Bahraini Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has ordered a crackdown on stores raising food prices during Ramadan.
Inspection teams will be used to protect consumers and clamp down on speculators.
He urged traders and businessmen to join ranks with the government and ensure price stability, reported Gulf Daily News.
“The advent of Ramadan, the new school year and the forthcoming Eid Al Fitr are likely to put pressure on families as their needs for goods may double,” the Prime Minister said, explaining that global inflationary trends would put added pressure on Bahraini families over the coming months.

If it happened in total gcc, i think it will be the most valuable Ramadan gift for public. At present school fees, books, commodities and other general things are too high for middle class sector. Action should be needed from government side
