Rolls-Royce launches the $400,000 Phantom Coupé in the Middle East on October 7 but unless you have pre-booked, chances are you won’t be taking one for a spin until the end of next year.

Requests so far include having a drinks cabinet built into the car and matching the colour of the car with the female customers’ nail varnish.

“If you order now you will have to wait until the end of next year,” spokesperson Frank Tiemann said. “Our capacity is limited and the feedback is very positive.”

Demand has been especially strong from the Middle East, where customers are also the most keen to have their car tailor made to their own specifications.

Under the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Programme, customers can create their perfect car.

A special team at the company’s manufacturing plant is dedicated to finding new paints, materials and engineering solutions.

“In the Middle East we have the highest bespoke rate from a worldwide perspective,” Tiemann says.

The programme offers 44,000 different colours for the exterior and the interior, and cars can be equipped “with whatever you can imagine and is in within the legal framework”.

In the Middle East, Rolls-Royce’s biggest market is the UAE, which has a more international clientele than neighbouring Saudi Arabia.

The two dealerships there are among the top five Rolls-Royce dealerships in the world.

“Many people who run their businesses in Dubai or in Abu Dhabi are amongst our customers,” Tiemann added.

The first Phantom Coupés will be delivered to their new Middle Eastern owners in the beginning of October.

What else the millionaires do with the money extorted from innocent people by way of rent ? How many properties and business they can buy, now they have to think how to spend the "hard earned" income derived? They can at the max buy a country in "Dubai World", then a yacht to reach their Island and the most luxurious car for roads.......

I Bet, with all these High Luxury materials and wealth, the millionaire UAE population will soon also be the highest in the "Poor Health Syndrome". Already UAE has the highest Type 2 Diabetes due to the life style prevailing here. All work (aka behind wheel in traffic) and no play (relax) makes the UAE residents SICK & SICK & SICK. Beware Dubaiites!

Not only was my wife able to have the paint colour matched to her nail polish, I was able to have an in-seat toilet installed.

With the in-seat toilet, our Roller now has an option unavailable even on the new A-380 aircraft. After all, what does the busy millionaire need more often, a shower or a toilet?
