National Engineering Bureau has been confirmed as the engineering consultant for Hydra Corporate Towers. 60% of the excavation work on the towers has already been completed and Hydra Properties has revealed an MEP contractor will be appointed in the next 2-3 months.
The buildings, located at Al Reem Island in Abu Dhabi, will include two 30-storey office towers, a third 24-storey offering serviced apartments and multi-level car parking. The apartments will be managed by a luxury hotel group. The project is expected to be completed by September 2011; Hydra Properties project manager Jonathan Ing revealed: “The initial phase of the project is going ahead of schedule and 60 per cent of excavation work has been completed.” He added that the firm had used its logistics capabilities to “speed up the enabling work”.
National Engineering Bureau is also acting as the architects for the project and Tafseer Contracting will oversee construction.
