interACTIVE, a business unit of interFRONTIERS in Cyprus, has teamed up with UK video game publisher and developer Data Design Interactive to distribute their products across the Middle East, Malta and Croatia.
DDI’s catalogue of games cover action adventure, action sports, racing, role-playing, simulation, first-person action and strategy game categories. This includes their dedicated Wii Nintendo casual gaming line – Popcorn Arcade – with eight new titles proposed for release this year, including twenty one PlayStation 2 and PC titles that will also be distributed in the region.
Nintendo Wii’s exposure in the Middle East could be enhanced with the new distribution channel in place. “We are delighted that Data Design Interactive has chosen interFRONTIERS interACTIVE. As a regional business development unit with years of experience in the region, we are confident that our partnership will create opportunities for DDI in these markets,” said Christina Stylianou, sales and marketing director, interFRONTIERS interACTIVE.
Optimism was also reflected in DDI’s Stewart Green’s statement: “We are certain that with interFRONTIERS expertise, we will develop a solid presence in the Middle East market and achieve a significant increase in our market share.”
