Regional landscaping projects to top AED 60 billion by 2010

Regional landscaping projects are set to multiply twofold to top AED 60 billion by 2010, according to CMPi, organisers of the upcoming Gulf Landscaping show in Abu Dhabi.

Landscaping professionals are now in high demand boosted by an increased focus on landscaping as part of large-scale commercial projects, and an increase in demand for professional landscaping services on residential properties, the firm said.

“Driven by the construction boom, many households have increasingly turned to landscaping services to design, develop and maintain their investments while landscaping contractors are learning how to grab their share of this high growth market,” said John Wigham, director of regional landscape practice Cracknell, which will take part in the event.

Taking place November 17-18, the inaugural edition of Gulf Landscaping will include a one-day conference on sustainable construction. The conference will cover sustainability, design & build, environmental issues, carbon footprints, urban planning, Abu Dhabi 2030 Initiative, water management, and new product technologies.

Gulf Landscaping will run alongside two other exhibitions, Working Buildings Middle East, an exhibition and conference for building services and facilities management, and Fit Out Middle East, which is dedicated to the final stages of construction.
