MEP Middle East 2008 Awards will be presented at a gala dinner in Mina A' Salam on 3 December.

Entries are now being accepted for the MEP Middle East Awards 2008.

There are 14 trophies up for grabs in this year's event, with categories ranging from the MEP Contractor of the Year to the Major MEP Project of the Year.

This year will see the return of the exceptionally popular Sustainable Design, Innovation and MEP Project Manager of the Year categories, all of which were hotly contested in the 2007 awards.

And in response to industry demand, two new categories have been added this year: Young Engineer of the Year and the Health & Safety Award.

Now you have the opportunity to highlight your firm's up and coming engineering stars of the future. And, importantly, to outline the methods that you are taking to help the industry become a safer and healthier environment in which to work - which will surely be a major step forward in attracting much needed staff into the sector.

Entry forms and full details of the nomination process can be downloaded from the MEP Middle East Awards website at: www.itp.net/events/mepawards.

Following the judging process, the trophies will be presented at a gala dinner event that is due to be held on 3 December in the Mina A' Salam, Dubai.

The event will be made possible thanks to the support of key sponsors. Drake and Scull was recently named as the Platinum sponsor for the event, meanwhile Ducab and Faisal Jassim Trading have both announced that they will support the MEP Middle East Awards for the second year in a row, following the success of the 2007 event. A select number of sponsorship opportunities remain.
