Guy to cook in the Woods

Master French chef Guy Savoy is to headline the food and beverage offering at the new Tiger Woods Hotel development in Dubai.
The outlet - due to open in the second quarter of 2010 - will be the fourth edition to Savoy's portfolio of restaurants already present in Paris, Las Vegas and Moscow.
"I am honoured and proud to be part of this project.
"The location is a true masterpiece of design and I'm looking forward to creating a culinary offering that matches the luxury of the location," said the chef.
He added that the Guy Savoy Dubai would offer a menu of traditional French cuisine similar to that of his signature Paris outlet.
"However, it is also part of my mission to understand the historical origins of popular traditional and local foods and try and incorporate aspects of it within my menu," he said.
"The biggest challenge of operating in a new market like Dubai is that here there is one season - summer - and so we may have to reshape recipes that are compatible with this predominant season."
Michelin-starred Savoy will install a team from Paris to run the outlet and head culinary operations for a month following the opening.
This project represents a milestone in Savoy's 40-year career, as he is selective about the ventures to which he lends his name.
"I've dropped a lot of international projects because I only accept ideas where there is a will to create, and where there is a synergy of real talent."
"I feel this restaurant will be one of my landmark achievements."
The two years prior to opening will give Savoy time to create the perfect offering commented Tiger Woods Dubai project director Abdulla Al Gurg.
"Guy demonstrates a passion and appreciation of flavour that we are very excited about offering to our guests," he said.
