Specialist structured cabling and accessories maker, Superior Technologies, has set up an exclusive distribution and integration partnership for the UAE with Precedence Technologies.

Precendence Technologies, says Superior, will have distribution rights for the UAE and carry responsibility for expanding its breadth of resellers across the emirates and to increase the company’s exposure in the SMB segment.

One of the major factors that was instrumental in sealing the partnership, is the location of Precedence’s warehouse, which is in Dubai rather than Jebel Ali, according to Iqbal Moosa, business unit head at Superior.

“Precedence has quite an experienced managerial team and a great warehousing facility and they are very quick to deliver the goods to our partners in the UAE,” said Moosa.

“The challenge and what we want them to do is rise to the expectation of faster delivery because in Jebel Ali we have two or three days delay to clear products because of customs,” continued Moosa. “They will be targeting systems integrators and the resellers and there are a lot of companies that need small quantities and need them readily available.”

Superior is adamant that Precedence also offer a level of value-add as part of their work with the reseller channel and says the company is able to do this through its solid technical support and proficient logistical set-up.

“Based around the infrastructure developments that are taking place in the UAE and in the Middle East, the market has been growing at a rate of 15% to 20% a year,” said Moosa. “We expect that this will continue for another good few years because of the visionary’s plans in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.”
