Juniper Networks has strengthened its senior management team in EMEA by appointing industry veteran Adrian Carr to oversee the direction of its enterprise business.
Carr will be responsible for the entire Europe, Middle East and Africa region in his capacity as VP enterprise sales and report directly to EMEA head honcho Gert-Jan Schenk. Schenk has been carrying out the enterprise role on an interim basis until now.
Carr is likely to be based at the networking vendor’s European headquarters, but will be the main reporting line for Juniper’s enterprise sales team in the Middle East.
Prior to joining Juniper, Carr served in a range of management roles at SPSS, Ascential Software and EDS, which was recently taken over by HP.
Schenk claims Carr’s appointment comes at a time when the company’s portfolio of high-end networking equipment places it in a strong position to expand its $900m EMEA business.
“We have an opportunity to capitalise on demand for high-performance network infrastructure from organisations which rely upon their networks to underpin the business and help to deliver commercial success — and I am confident that Adrian’s experience and expertise will play a crucial role in building on this opportunity in the EMEA region,” said Schenk.
