LG Electronics, a pioneer for electrical appliances recently demonstrated its commitment to green-living by launching its latest Eco-Chic collection at the Maison et Objet exhibition held in Paris this month.
Defying the conventional belief that green living isn’t aesthetically pleasing, LG showcased its green-living products.
“We at LG understand consumers don’t want to give up convenience and style for the sake of green living,” said Young Ha Lee, president and CEO of LG Electronics.
“We are committed to satisfying consumers’ desire for better living, bringing new technologies and styles to their daily lives. At Maison & Objet, we are demonstrating how LG’s stylish design supported by technological excellence allows consumers to enjoy their daily lives in a modern style as part of an Eco-Chic lifestyle,” he added.
The Eco-Chic living concept was visualised through a compilation of different products at the show. The LG6000 Scarlet TV that offers 69.5% less power consumption, and the HomeNet server, which connects all household appliances through a touch-screen panel, was two attractive examples, as were the customisable washing machine, and home-theatre set.
The use of these new forms of aesthetically pleasing, yet energy saving appliances are at the forefront of LG’s campaign for an eco-friendly environment. “Green living doesn’t mean sacrificing aesthetics, which is why LG’s products sit at the crossroads of sustainable and chic, distinctive both for their outward attractiveness and their intrinsic characteristics (low energy consumption, low sound levels, easy take-back and recycling, and fewer hazardous materials),” said Ha Lee.
