CW Awards nominations news update
by ArabianBusiness.com staff writer on Saturday, 27 September 2008
This is the last week for submitting nominations for the Construction Week Awards, which will be held on Wednesday, November 5, at the Westin Dubai.
The awards ceremony will be followed by a gala dinner that will also be held at the Westin.
The last date for submissions is October 1 with nominations only being accepted through the CW Awards website - www.itp.net/events/cwawards.
Details on the various awards categories, table bookings and a list of judges can also be found on the website.
The judging panel includes top bosses from contracting companies, real estate development companies, architectural and design firms, contracting firms and environment and health and safety watchdogs.
Due to the nature of the awards and its global reach, the panel will include judges based in the GCC, the US and the UK.
The awards ceremony will be preceded by the Construction Week Conference, which will be held on the same day at Mina Al Salam, Madinat Jumeirah, The Arabian Resort in Dubai.
The UAE and neighbouring GCC countries are enjoying a construction renaissance not seen since early 20th century New York and Chicago and post-war London.
With the current state of the global financial market, all eyes are on the region, taking note of the winning companies that manage to stand out despite the difficult times.
Also, what happens here at this time sets the tone for the future elsewhere.
