Lammtara, the company behind Freej, the UAE’s first full-fledged animation programme, announced the launch of a third season of the series last month along with UAE telecoms operator du. FREEJ Season 3 will focus even more on culture and feature guest character appearances, commented Mohammed Saeed Harib, the creator of FREEJ.
“It will continue to have the popular character Abood, introduced in Season 2 (2007). We look forward to the continued support and feedback from viewers of FREEJ to make it even more entertaining and educational,” he explained.
du announced at the press conference that its customers will be able to view FREEJ mobisodes on their cell phones and download related content through the mobile TV section on its portal ‘MyWorld’.
Launching FREEJ Season 3, Hala Badri, EVP Corporate Communications of du added: “Our association with FREEJ is now into its third year and it is an initiative close to our heart. It has creatively portrayed Arabian culture and heritage to people in the region and succeeded in its efforts to connect with young people.”
