Tandberg revamps telepresence offerings

The new Telepresence T3 offers full high definition conferencing with Nordic design.

Tandberg has announced a set of major updates to its telepresence portfolio.

The updates include a new Telepresence T3 system, new telepresence server and additional services for deployment and support of Tandberg systems.

The Telepresence T3 suite, which was developed by Tandberg’s expert team with input from customers and a social anthropologist, which includes full HD (1080p) telepresence engines, large full HD screens and PrecisionHD 1080p cameras; full-duplex spatial audio with super wideband stereo sound; and integrated touch collaboration screens for sharing presentations and so on.

The design of the suite includes 'blue walls the color of the Nordic sky and specialized room lighting create a natural appearance, and warm wood walls, aluminum and glass provide an exclusive finish'.

The Telepresence T3 has also been built to industry standards, to ensure interoperability with other standards-compliant PC, desktop and room video systems.

The combination of Tandberg’s total telepresence experience gives Middle East organisations a complete and comprehensive solution so that geographically dispersed teams can collaborate seamlessly.”

The new products also include the Tandberg Telepresence Server, which allows any standards-compliant video system to be added to a Telepresence meeting, with the server automatically configuring all devices for the best possible performance across all platforms.

Tandberg also announced an expanded services portfolio, Tandberg Total Service, which are intended to ensure high performance from initial site surveys, through to design, network provisioning, installation and services.
