Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department (DNRD) has processed 397,374 transactions at the main office at Jaffiliya, external centres and all air, sea and land ports during Eid Holidays, between Sept. 29 and Oct. 2, official news agency WAM reported on Monday.
No comparative figures for previous years were given.
Major-General Mohammed Ahmad Al-Marri, Director of DNRD, said that in the same period it processed 89,173 of transactions in DNRD's headquarters and its external branches.
The total number of entry and exit activities via sea, air and land ports reached 308,201, he added.
On the first day of Eid, Major-General Al-Marri paid an visit to check on various departments at DNRD's main office, accompanied by Brigadier Obaid Moheir bin Suroor, Deputy Director of DNRD, and a number of senior officials, WAM reported. He also inspected the department's operations at Terminals 1 and 2 of Dubai International Airport.
