France aiming to join Cityscape in 2009

The Eiffel Tower may be one of the world's most iconic structures but it seems the French are keen to learn from the UAE's real estate and construction experts.

A delegation from the European country is currently in the emirate on a fact-finding mission at the Cityscape exhibition and officials say France could establish a pavilion at the show next year.

The high-level French delegation are from the Ile de France region which includes the capital city of Paris.

The delegation is made up of French politicians, architects, and specialists of the construction industry and 9 French companies.

The goal of the visit, officials told Arabian Business, is to identify current significant projects and meet with the main people of real estate development in the UAE and the GCC countries to discuss the possibilities of extending their work to the Gulf region.

During their time in Dubai, the delegation will take in presentations and meetings involving Dubailand, the Nakheel Group, Dubai World Central Groupand the Sama Dubai Group.
