Steve Lockie insists ServiceVantage will give VARs the support they need to grow their business

Networking distribution group Westcon Middle East has rolled out the first phase of a portfolio of trade-only partner services designed to provide resellers with immediate support.

Dubbed ‘ServiceVantage’, the offering is available through subsidiaries OnLine Distribution and Comstor, and will provide modules that assist resellers in design, planning and implementation projects.

Steve Lockie, group managing director at Westcon Middle East, believes the portfolio will help networking VARs to develop their business.

“We believe that as the Middle East’s channel market matures, distributors who remain competitive will be those offering products and associated value-added services that support and allow partners to grow and specialise in areas where they can be indispensable to their customers,” he explained.

“Our vision as a group remains to consistently exceed partner expectations through the quality delivery of these exclusively through the channel,” added Lockie.

ServiceVantage comprises a number of components, including initiatives that promise design and quote assistance, project management services, jumpstart services, front-line assistance and remote technical support.

One reseller that claims to have benefited from the portfolio is Qatar-based infrastructure VAR EMEA Enterprise Solutions, which recently called upon Westcon’s team for pre-installation consultancy and implementation support.

“ServiceVantage proved to be a great asset to both our delivery of product and our client’s operation,” insisted Richard Ian Yarnall, technical infrastructure practice manager at the company. “The partnership between our own engineers and the expertise the Vantage team provided enhanced both our service capabilities and profile with the client.”
