HTC Touch Viva on sale in ME

HTC has announced the launched its Touch Viva smartphone in the Gulf.
The phone includes HTC’s TouchFLO interface, which allows iPhone-like touch control for navigation and input. HTC says that the phone is intended to be an affordable touch phone, while still providing the functionality of a Windows-based smartphone.
Kevin Chen, general manager, HTC Middle East and Africa said: “The Touch Viva is a stylish, flexible and user-friendly touch phone that is also affordable. The HTC Touch Viva is equally appealing to both professionals and the younger generation.”
The Touch Viva runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 professional, and has a 2.8 inch QVGA screen, with 2 megapixel camera, and 256 MB SD card storage and 128 MB RAM. It is capable of GSM/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz connection, as well as packing Bluetooth 2.0 and 802.11b/g wireless.
The handset has talk time of 480 minutes, and weighs 110g.
The phone is available now in the UAE, with a retail price of AED 1,299 ($354). The phone will be rolled out to the rest of the Gulf this month.
