Hollywood superstar Antonio Banderas is in talks with Hydra Properties over the construction of a new themed development.

Provisionally called “Banderas Ranches”, the development is expected to focus on luxury residences in Spanish ranch style.

Speaking to Arabian Business during a visit to the UAE with his actress wife Melanie Griffith, Banderas confirmed: “I have been looking at the plans and they are amazing, it is something I would really like to get involved in.

"I have had discussions with Hydra’s CEO Dr Sulaiman Al Fahim. I was very impressed and certainly want to move forward, so let’s see what happens. I am confident we can do something.”

The development is expected to be centred in the UAE although could be duplicated into Latin America, where Banderas has a huge personal following.

“This trip was my first time in Dubai. I went to Cityscape and on the way there stopped at the Burj Dubai. It was incredible to see, and I would very much like to be part of this country’s property story in some way,” he said.

[Sarcasm Alert] Wow. Luxurious Spanish style ranches backed by an A-lister! It's fantastic to see something unusual and different, after Cityscape!
