Gati has commenced operations in Dubai Airport Free Zone to capitalise on a market boom in the Middle East logistics industry.
The Indian company, which was established in the 1980s, has expanded its presence in key markets throughout the world, with its launch in Dubai being the latest in a global network that includes China, Singapore, Thailand, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
“Gati will continue in its quest to meet business needs of today’s businesses, redefining connectivity to match the needs of the discerning customer,” said Mahendra Agarwal, Gati’s managing director and chief executive officer. “We are a single window logistic solution provider and have the capability to offer a plethora of services to meet every budget and every customer’s need.”
According to Agarwal, a number of business incentives attracted Gati to Dubai Airport Free Zone, such as 100% tax exemption, 100% ownership rights and direct access to the cargo facilities in the nearby airport.
“Dubai Airport Free Zone is a leading international business hub, designed to provide the most attractive investment opportunities for all companies,” he said. “Gati is looking forward to the additional benefits of having its office located in one of the busiest airports in the world.”
