Glory days ahead

by ArabianBusiness.com staff writer  on Tuesday, 14 October 2008

Did you win an MEP Middle East Award in 2007? If not, you now have another chance to pick up one of the coveted trophies in the second annual awards ceremony.

Get ready for another night of celebration of all things mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) related. Following the success of last year's inaugural MEP Middle East Awards, the event has been announced as an annual date in the sector's calendar.

The MEP Middle East Awards is your chance to get the recognition that you deserve for the hard work and dedication that you've put into making the Middle East's MEP sector a success over the past year. With the number of developments under way and planned for the region into the future, it's the efforts that individuals and firms make now that will ensure their long-term success.

The importance of the MEP sector is continuing to grow and with the increasing focus on sustainable building, the knowledge and experience of MEP professionals is being recognised on a wider scale by the day. No other sector can provide as wide a range of vital services to the construction industry, with MEP firms offering design and installation expertise in everything from the efficient supply of air conditioning and electricity to security systems and renewable energy solutions.

The MEP Middle East Awards aim to ensure that those in the industry are publicly rewarded for their efforts. The prestigious trophies will be presented at a gala dinner which is due to be held on 3 December in the Mina A' Salam, Dubai. After a full house for the 2007 event, more than 250 top professionals in the MEP sector are expected to attend this year.

But before the fun can start on the night there is still some work to be done. To ensure that you have a chance to be welcomed onto the stage to applause from your peers, you need to let us know about your achievements over the past year. There is just over a month left to get your entries in for the 2008 Awards before the judging process begins.

So log onto www.itp.net/events/mepawards now for the nomination form, mark 3 December in your diary and get ready to party.

The entry process

The MEP Middle East Awards 2008 are open to individuals, companies and organisations that have operated in the Middle East's MEP sector over the past year. Entries can be made via the official awards web site (www.itp.net/events/mepawards) by completing the downloadable nomination form and submitting it with the appropriate material as listed.
