AEG Live’s Thomas Ovesen expects up to 20,000 fans to attend the concert at Dubai Festival City next month.

Australian pop diva Kylie Minogue, will perform two back to back shows in Dubai next month.

She will headline a private party at the Atlantis Palm Hotel on November 20, in front of 2000 invited guests before making her first public UAE appearance under the banner of AGE Live Middle East the following night.

AEG Live Middle East managing director Thomas Ovesen, said that Minogue would deliver a star-studded performance to an expected 20,000 fans at Dubai Festival City on November 21.

The appearance will be the only Middle East stop as part of the KylieX2008 Tour, with tickets expected to sell-out fast.

Ovesen said AEG Live was able to secure Minogue after it partnered with the Atlantis Palm Hotel to offer an additional commercial date for the songstress to perform in the city.

“The Atlantis team had been looking for a big name artist for months and finding a suitable artist to perform at the hotel, while accepting a big, but limited budget was proving to be a challenge. Especially in regards to accommodating for touring schedules,” Ovesen claimed.

“However, once AEG Live offered Minogue an additional commercial appearance date it all fell into place and we secured the first ever Middle East public concert with Minogue.”

As the KylieX2008 tour is one of the largest touring productions, Ovesen said the logistics of touring the full production here would prove too great, but said UAE fans could expect to see all the Jean Paul Gaultier costumes the show was making headlines for, along with the stunning visual LED lighting display.

Although the performance is scheduled to take place on a Friday night, which should ease traffic woes, Ovesen said the venue would minimise parking issues, but advised people to arrive early to avoid traffic congestion.

KylieX2008 is a multi million dollar production that has already traveled to 21 countries across Europe and played to more than half a million people.
