Abu Dhabi's First Gulf Bank beat analysts' forecasts with a 68 percent jump in third-quarter net profit to 850 million dirhams ($231.4 million).
The bank said in a statement its profit growth was due to expansion of its corporate, retail and treasury businesses.
Analysts' forecasts for First Gulf Bank's quarterly profit ranged from 733.99 million dirhams to 798.50 million dirhams in a Reuters net profit survey in September.
