Indian IT services firm Wipro has signed a deal with US technology giant Sun Microsystems to resell the US firm's products in the Gulf, the companies said on Tuesday.
The companies said Wipro will resell and integrate the entire suite of Sun systems, storage, software and services in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar.
Bruno Haubertin, partners and sales organisation manager for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) at Sun, said in a statement the deal will "complex issues" its customers face "including increasing demands for enterprise security, business integration and open source secure operating systems".
Wipro general manager Rajan Sampath said the partnership "demonstrates and reinforces Sun’s confidence in Wipro as a company and our services".
