UK-based IT security firm Sophos on Wednesday said it has opened an office in Dubai Internet City (DIC) that will serve as its Middle East headquarters.

Sophos said the office will be headed up by Kamel Heus, who has worked at the company's headquarters in Oxford since 2002.

Sophos CEO Steve Munford said in a statement the Middle East continues to be a "valued market" for the company.
