ASGC wins US$299m Nakheel contract

Al Shafar General Contracting (ASGC) has been awarded a US$299m from Nakheel to construct a mixed-residential development in Jumeirah Heights.

Jumeirah Heights, due for completion in 2010, is to consist of three low-rise apartment buildings and 17 townhouses within an urban community development.

Bishoy Azmy, CEO of ASGC, one of the UAE's largest construction companies, said: "Our continued focus on reliability and integrity has played a vital role in making us a recognised contracting leader in this highly competitive market place. By placing great importance on the principles of safety, quality and people, we have been able to satisfy our clients' needs on every project."
