Linksys has promoted its Middle East boss Mohammad Hoda to the position of director of emerging markets for global consumer sales.
In his new role, Hoda will be responsible for creating a differentiated strategy and driving profitable growth in the recently formed ‘Emerging Markets’ region with his team.
Hoda has been with Linksys, the SMB networking division of Cisco, for nearly five years, overseeing the company’s strategies and go-to-market policies in the Middle East and Africa.
“Emerging Markets is an area with big opportunities for Linksys with enthusiastic consumers of new technologies, significant growth and a significant challenge to create new ways to make business” stated Chris White, VP global consumer sales at Cisco.
“With his experience of developing a vast sector such as the Middle East and Africa, Mohammad is the person needed to execute, localise and develop Linksys’ strategy in a region assembling so many different market realities,” added White.
Hoda, who boasts more than twelve years of channel experience, will be responsible for managing a territory that spans the Middle East, central and eastern Europe and Russia. He will continue to be based out of Cisco’s office in the UAE.
